We Need YOU!

Here at Saint Mary's, we have eight bells, but only generally have six ringers on a Sunday, so we can only make use of six bells. Although this sounds good, it would be much better if we could manage to ring all eight for services and special occasions such as weddings.

We need more people to start learning this interesting and ancient art of bellringing and if you are interested please feel free to attend one of our practices and try it out for yourself. You never know, you might become hooked and want to carry on something that many tens of thousands of people across England enjoy every week.

Jacob came to try bellringing, and now he's hooked! >

Why not give bellringing a try?

If you are in Penwortham on a Thursday night, why not visit our practice night between 1945 and 2100.
If you don't live in Penwortham, we're sure there'll be a Church around you somewhere looking for ringers. See Ringing-Online's main useful ringing links page to find ways of searching for your nearest tower.

We normally practice on a Thursday and always welcome visiting ringers and people who want to learn, but if you'd like to check we're ringing, or find out anything else about ringing, please click here.
